Jay Artale, President [show bio] Jay Artale is currently Director of Operations at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Since joining the company 10 years ago, she has worked within most of the operational roles within the Home Entertainment Supply Chain department including procurement, manufacturing, process improvement and vendor management. Most recently she has transitioned into a project management role and is currently juggling a variety of projects including the design and development of an intranet site for the global operations team, design and implementation of a forecasting system to optimize inventory management across the domestic supply chain and spearheading a Training and Knowledge Expansion initiative to implement an effective Career Development and Mentoring program to ensure the department has the knowledge and tools they need to succeed in their current positions and achieve their career goals. As Jay's role expanded, she identified the need to become a more effective speaker, and the Del Rey Toastmasters Club has given her the opportunity to enhance her communication skills as well as expand her leadership abilities. Laura Minton, Vice-President of Education Louise Morency, Vice-President of Membership Rinkal Thakker, Vice-President of Public Relations Ramin Nekoukar, Treasurer [show bio] Ramin works at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics as a senior manager, and last term he was the VP of PR for Del Rey Toastmasters. Laura Wallick, Secretary Steve Bayne, Sergeant-at-Arms [show bio] Steve Bayne is currently a Construction Administrator/Project Architect for various hospital projects in southern and central California. He is an Associate for the firm of Lee Burkhart Liu Architects, located in Marina del Rey for the last 3 ˝ years. With his increased responsibility to lead meetings and represent the firm on-site, Steve felt the need to be able to speak more confidently in meetings and to the public. This need lead him to Toastmaster, Inc. for assistance in public speaking. Since joining Del Rey Toastmasters in March 2008, he has felt a tremendous boost in his communication and confidence, as well as making a number of new friends and associates. Steve is an avid cyclist, both road and mountain biking, beach volleyball player, swimmer and workout “junkie”. He is also an extreme lover of jazz.
