Sample Meeting Agenda
7:00PM–PRESIDENT
- Calls the meeting to order
- Brings up chapter news
- Introduces the Toastmaster for the meeting
7:05PM–TOASTMASTER
- Introduces people who have filled Roles:
Grammarian (“Ah”,Uh”,Like”, “You know” Counter), Timer, Vote Counter - Introduces Table Topics Master
7:20PM–TABLE TOPICS MASTER
- Explains Table Topics and theme (Members & guests (who would like to participate) will be asked to give an impromptu 1-2 ½ minute speech based on a topic or question posed to them)
- Conducts the Table Topics session
- Returns control to the Toastmaster
7:50PM–BREAK
8PM–SPEAKERS
- Toastmaster introduces speakers, who deliver prepared speeches typically 5-7 min long
- Toastmaster then introduces the General Evaluator
8:45PM–GENERAL EVALUATOR
- Introduces Evaluators who will be evaluating the prepared speeches
- Ask for report from Timer & Grammarian
Following reports, General Evaluator makes general comments about the meeting and returns control to the President
8:55PM—PRESIDENT
- Thanks guests for coming
- Asks for comments
- Closing remarks and announcements
- President calls on Vote Counter to present awards for best Speaker, Table Topics speech, Evaluator and Program Manager
Thought of the Day-President introduces presenter who sends us off with an inspiring thought or quotation
